IC Message 09.01.22

Good evening, Sutter families. I hope your children had a great first day of school!  Tomorrow is a regular day schedule with dismissal at 2:32 pm and then you can enjoy a long 3 day weekend.

First Day “Packets”:   Please fill out the hard copy emergency card that was sent home today with your child and have them return it tomorrow to their Science teacher. Also included in your packet was a letter from the principal .

Below are additional forms that are accessible online. Please complete the signature page online for the parent and student handbook and the LCFF application online as soon as possible.

Study Hall:  It is important that students stay on top of their school work and stay in communication with their teachers from the start of the year.

Study hall will begin on Tuesday, September 6th.  Study hall is available to all students Monday through Thursday 7:35-8:00 am in room 215 or at 2:35-3:35 pm in room 105 M/T/W and 1:35-2:35 pm in room 105 on Thursday afternoons.

Help Needed: We are seeking a parent volunteer who is interested in helping out in our office on Fridays.  If you are interested, please email our office manager, Brauwyn-Juhlin@scusd.edu .

Regional Transit:  As a reminder, using a student ID is acceptable to ride RT for free.  If a student prefers to pick up a RydeFreeRT card from our main office, those are valid through June 30, 2023.

E-mails from Sutter:  Teachers often communicate via email, some have sent messages already.  Please check your junk mail to make sure you aren’t missing out on information. If you have sent them a message and haven’t heard back, please check your junk mail. There have even been times in the past where messages that have previously gone to an inbox suddenly end up going to junk mail instead.

Exiting school at dismissal:  Exits are open in the back of the school as well as the front at the end of the day. We appreciate all of your patience when picking up your children.

Drop-off Reminder: As a reminder, when dropping off your children in the morning, please have your child ready to get out of the car when you pull up to the school, as we need to keep traffic moving.

No School- Labor Day:  There is no school on Monday for Labor Day.

Sincerely,

Cristin Tahara

Principal
