School Site Council: Our School Site Council meets regularly and is tasked with developing the content of the school’s Single Plan for Student Achievement, commonly referred to as the SPSA, each year. The SSC identifies priority goals, including proposed expenditures, funds, and resources allocated to carry them out, and reviews and updates the SPSA annually. This year, our SSC has three open parent seats and we are working on the ballot for voting. If you have any interest in serving, please send me an email at email@example.com by Friday, September 16th so we can go over next steps to get on the ballot.
ELAC: We are looking for Sutter parents of English learners to serve on our English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). ELAC makes recommendations regarding programs for students with second language needs and you can learn more about the programs offered at school, and provide input with regular meetings with school administration. We are also looking for parents to help represent Sutter at district meetings on the DELAC committee. If you are interested in serving on our ELAC, please e-mail Desiree Sierra at Desiree-Sierra@scusd.edu .
Behavior in the Community: Please talk with your children about their behavior in the community. If you allow your child to go to local businesses or areas after school, our Sutter Miners are expected to demonstrate respect. Places of business should not be hang out spots for students.
