Good evening, Sutter families.  It was nice seeing so many of you at our Back to School night on Tuesday.

Our cross country team and volleyball teams are off to a great start!  Thank you to our parents for supporting them and cheering them on!

Picture Day:  Picture day is on Monday, September 19th during your child’s PE period.

Green/Gold Spirit Day:  Our first spirit day and dance are on Friday, Sept 23rd.  The dance is immediately after school in the multi-purpose room from 2:35-4:35 pm. Come to school dressed head to toe in green and/or gold to celebrate being a Sutter Miner!  8th graders wear green and 7th graders wear gold/yellow.  Tickets will be $7/cash and will be on sale starting September 19th, at lunch.  As a reminder, don’t forget to bring your student ID & ticket to the dance (Students will have their ID by then).

Club Rush:   Come to the quad on September 29th during lunch to find the club that best fits you.  There are MANY clubs to choose from.  Meet the adviser and see if you want to take advantage of this opportunity for you to participate at Sutter.  There is something for EVERYONE!!

School Site Council:     Our School Site Council meets regularly and is tasked with developing the content of the school’s Single Plan for Student Achievement, commonly referred to as the SPSA, each year.   The SSC identifies priority goals, including proposed expenditures, funds, and resources allocated to carry them out, and reviews and updates the SPSA annually.  This year, our SSC has three open parent seats and we are working on the ballot for voting.  If you have any interest in serving, today is the last day to notify me to get on the ballot, so please send me an email at  if you’re interested so we can go over the next steps.
