Good afternoon, Mighty Oak families! Tomorrow is the last day of the quarter and a minimum day with dismissal at 12:18 pm.

Spring Sports: Our Spring sports are coming up around the corner. If your child is considering trying out for any sports, they must complete and return all 3 forms to our main office or you can email them to Natasha-Brown@scusd.edu. All forms must be submitted before your child will be allowed to tryout.

Track & Field: There is a make up meeting on Monday, January 29th in the gym at lunch for those that did not attend the meeting on 1/17. Prospective athletes need to one of these meetings AND fill out this Google form in order to try out.

Track tryouts will begin Monday, January 29th. Check the Track page on the Miwok MS website for more info. If you have questions about track and field, please contact Coach Bryan Moreno at Bryan-Moreno@scusd.edu.

Golf: Informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 30th at lunch in room 115. Athletes will need to attend this meeting and fill out this Google Form in order to try-out.

Golf tryouts will be held after school on 2/7 and 2/8 at McKinley Park. If you have any questions about golf, please contact Coach Gomez at Chris-Gomez@scusd.edu.

Softball: There is a meeting on Tuesday, January 30th at lunch in the gym.

Girls Soccer: There is a meeting on Wednesday , January 31stat lunch in the gym.

Valentine’s Dress Up and Dance: Our Valentine’s Dance is on Wednesday, February 14th from 2:35-4:35 pm in the cafeteria. Be sure to come to school dressed head to toe in red, pink and white!! Tickets will be sold during lunch outside of room 111 for $7, starting Wednesday, February 7th.

Reminders- After School: We kindly ask that parents arrange transportation for their children to be off campus after school hours. Children are expected to be in study hall, sports, clubs, or other school sponsored activity under adult supervision at all times if they are on campus after hours. If your child is attending an after school sport as a fan, the expectation is that they remain under supervision where adults are present and not wandering in and out of the gym, walking off campus, etc.

PTSO Fundraiser: Acheson Wine Company will donate a percentage of sales back to a Miwok Middle School the entire month of February! Mention Miwok Middle when purchasing wine for consumption in house or purchase of bottles of wine to go. It’s the perfect gift for loved ones during the month Valentine’s Day.
